As BAI Group celebrates 40 years of service, we are taking time to recognize the people behind the projects. This includes the administrative staff, engineers, technicians, and specialists who keep everything moving. Throughout this anniversary year, we will be sharing stories from across our team to highlight those whose dedication allows BAI’s complex engineering, environmental, and renewable energy work to succeed every day.
One of those people is our Administrative Manager, Sue Fox, as many at BAI will readily say, a true backbone of the firm.
Sue’s role demands constant balance in what she describes as a “busy, fluctuating environment.” Keeping proposals, invoicing, deadlines, and events on track requires organization and adaptability. “My position demands juggling a variety of tasks in a busy, fluctuating environment,” Sue explains. “A priority is creating an organized schedule. However, that can change with an email or phone call, as a result, a requirement is effective communication with project managers.” This steady coordination allows BAI’s technical teams to stay focused on their work.
When Sue reflects on her time at BAI, it is the collective moments that stand out most. “What has made me proudest, of course, are times when everyone pulls together to solve a problem and support one another, especially under pressure,” she says.
She also values the firm’s culture. “I truly appreciate being part of a team that is built on trust, strong relationships, and delivers quality work.”
State College has always been home for Sue. She was born and raised here, and it is where she met her husband and raised their two daughters. After their daughters’ college years, Sue and her family chose a quieter life and moved to nearby Bellefonte. Outside of work, she enjoys nurturing her house plants and planting her summer garden. “Spending time with my daughters and their families, as well as going to our grandkids’ sporting events, brings great joy to my life,” she shares. “And I never turn down a chance to babysit!”
