BAI Group is having a highly productive year providing construction quality assurance (CQA) services for landfill construction projects throughout the region. Our work this year encompasses a broad range of landfill infrastructure, including approximately 38 acres of landfill cell construction, 12 acres of landfill cap construction, and three landfill gas system projects.
The landfill gas projects include the installation of approximately 40 gas extraction wells and associated lateral piping, requiring coordination of earthwork, well construction, piping installation, and system components to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Across these projects, BAI is providing CQA for more than 9 million square feet of geosynthetics, approximately 50,000 cubic yards of clay, and hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of structural fill. Our CQA activities include documenting material properties, placement procedures, compaction, geosynthetic installation, seam testing, soil testing, and other construction activities critical to long-term landfill performance.
BAI’s involvement often begins well before construction. For several of these projects, our team prepared bid specifications, construction cost estimates, and volumetric estimates, helping owners develop projects that are constructible, competitively bid, and appropriately budgeted.
Following construction, BAI will prepare the required CQA documentation and certifications for submission to the applicable regulatory agencies. These certifications provide owners and regulators with documentation that the completed facilities were constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
The volume and diversity of this year’s projects demonstrate BAI’s ability to support landfill owners through the full project lifecycle—from design and bidding through construction and regulatory certification.
