This spring, BAI Group is moving AI out of theory and into the field, where we can test it and see if it can improve our environmental assessment and deliver measurable value for our infrastructure projects.
Through bAI Labs, our applied AI team is testing solutions in real-world environments, including a solar-powered methane monitoring system at a client landfill and the use of an existing digital twin of a wastewater treatment plant. Both pilots incorporate an AI explainer as a companion layer that translates complex data into clear, real-time decisions.
We’re also working with the Allen Institute for AI to advance GeoAI, using satellite data and machine learning to identify early indicators of groundwater risk and site constraints. The potential: faster site screening, fewer surprises, and better project outcomes.
At the same time, we’re building an mvp of CNOVA, a low-latency, voice-enabled, agent-assisted field application for civil engineering crews, improving speed, consistency, and communication in the field.
These initiatives are part of our R&D pipeline, so we can test, refine, and deliver practical AI solutions clients can use today.
What Does This Look Like for You?
BAI offers AI readiness assessments, implementation support, and hands-on training tailored to civil, environmental, and infrastructure teams — focused on real-world application, not hype.
If your organization is asking:
- Where do we start with AI?
- How do we apply it without disrupting operations?
- What’s actually worth investing in?
We can help answer those questions — and implement solutions that work.
Let’s turn AI into something practical for your projects, your team, and your bottom line. Reach out to Davar Ardalan to get started: Dardalan@baigroupllc.com | 443-520-3155
Industry Engagement & Leadership
We are actively contributing to the broader conversation on AI in infrastructure, and are proud to share that Davar Ardalan, James B. Echard, and John Oliver Smith — are contributing to an upcoming book, Smart Water: The Future of Infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence (Taylor & Francis, 2027), alongside Qian Zhang of UMCES and Craig Daly of Howard County, MD.
We’re also hitting the road this summer to participate in some exciting events and conversations — here’s where you can find us!
